After being known as more of the Taylor Gang rap collectives hype man for a while Chevy Woods has really reinvented himself and has grown into a top notch rapper. On his latest project entitled “Gangland” Chevy Woods takes is through his view of the world from his past experience in the inner city of Pittsburgh. I have to say that this is simply Chevy Woods realest flow out rift now from the stories that he tells to his modified rhyme scheme that sometimes sounds similar to Wiz Khalifas. Being a part of Taylor Gang is definitely a blessing for Chevy because his style blends in really well with some of the features on the mixtape from artists like Wiz Khalifa, Juicy J, Lola Monroe, and even though he’s not a Taylor Gang member Soulja got a few features too. The only problem that I found with this mixtape is that it didn’t really define Chevy Woods flow, there were times when he would change up his rhyme scheme for the better and other times for the worse. I believe that other then Chevy Woods not completely finding his sound yet he did a good job and stuck to the topic of his mixtape entitled “Gangland”, I gave it a 4/5.
