Here’s a Memorial Day mixtape review that you can read while your waiting to grub. This week I decided to review 50 Cent’s latest mixtape entitled “The Lost Tape”. When I heard that 50 Cent was coming out with some new material in the form of a mixtape I was excited to hear some true OG, refined bars from the guy and that’s exactly what I got. Usually when you hear the style of rap that “Gangster Rap” evolved into you would classify it as trap music but 5o Cent brings back the concept of OG verses over some well thought out beats. No real impressions on the features in “The Lost Tape” because it’s 50 Cent, he’s already been featured with the best of them in the rap game. The problems I found with this tape were that the songs did sound really similar to each other and in my book if you don’t specify your goal with a mixtape or say that your going for a certain sound then there should be some kind of variety throughout the tape. I gave 50 Cent’s “The Lost Tape” a 4/5 because of the lack of variety but nice OG style that I always remember 50 Cent for. Listen and download “The Lost Tape” below!
