Tucked in between the cool city streets of downtown Charlottesville, Virginia, the Jefferson concert venue prepared for a night of Future Bounce and good vibes from Goldlink and Elhae.

March 20 marked the date of the Charlottesville stop on Goldlink's U.S. tour with special guest appearances, the only stop in his home state of Virginia.  Presented by the University of Virginia's chapter of the Student Hip-Hop organization, this concert kicked off with an opening performance by Elhae, an Atlanta singer who recently dropped a solo project titled All Have Fallen.

Elhae warmed up the audience with a balance of infectious grooves and a little bit of comedy sprinkled throughout his set.  He surely set the bar high for the headliner to rock the stage up next.

Stepping to the mic with a posse that included a DJ, the DMV's own famed producer, Louie Lastic on electric bass, and a very talented violinist, Goldlink proceeded to get the audience jumping and chanting lyrics.

While much of the set included music from his latest album, Goldlink did give his day-one fans a treat by performing a few tracks from his debut album, The God Complex, and even some of his high-energy singles that were guaranteed to get the crowd amped up.

Goldlink battled through some technical difficulties through his set with equipment failures but no momentum was lost and gave the crowd an experience worth remembering.

You can find Elhae’s latest project here and Goldlink’s album, And After That We Didn’t Talk, here.
