For this weeks mixtape review I decided to look over the young up and coming Brooklyn MC Joey Bada$$’ “1999″ mixtape. Joey Bada$$ has been taking the music world by storm with his unique flow that truly reminds me of something you might hear from a rapper out of “1999″. I had high hopes for this tape and they were answered, Joey Bada$$ is definitely going to revolutionize the rap game if he keeps the kind of intricate beats that sound raw and uncut mixed in with his own type of 90′s 2pac reminiscent flow. I listened to “1999″ two times through and liked it even better the second time I played it. My rule of thumb is that if you can listen to a mixtape in it’s entirety without skipping a track then it deserves a 5/5 and that’s exactly what i’m giving Joey Bada$$’ “1999″.
